Teething Sucks! Make it a little easier... -

Teething sucks people. Painful gums, drooling similar a waterfall, wet dress, runny noses, ear tugging. Thank goodness it all happens when we are all besides young to remember it afterwards. Merely it's so sad to see my little guy so uncomfortable sometimes. I welcome annihilation that might make the whole milestone a little easier, on both of usa!

With Koa, we didn't fifty-fifty realize he was teething until the two niggling white things popped out. He just didn't show any signs. Like at all. He was easy going, happy, fine. No crying, no uncomfortable eating, nix. He didn't fifty-fifty chew on things. Just one day I noticed these 2 white teeth. Needless to say, that's how his whole teething experience was. He got teeth early and fast, similar a whole mouth by his showtime birthday! But, it was like shooting fish in a barrel with him.

Now Kai? This is a whole other experience. His olfactory organ is runny, he drools like a waterfall (multiple bibs swaps a twenty-four hours, not mention vesture changes.) And he puts EVERYTHING in his rima oris. Koa never put anything in his oral cavity. Certain we had teethers and teething rings in training, but we ended upward using those frozen teething rings to make owies feel better and keep food common cold in the car. Definitely not their intended use.

But goodness, with Kai, everything goes in his oral fissure. His fingers, his bib, his shirt, his car seat strap, his overalls strap, my jacket attachment, my hair, my collarbone! (it hurts!) Yet, he is not a fan of traditional teething rings. (Frozen or otherwise) And then, I found these teething necklaces!

I got this teething necklace from The Vintage Love Store. He LOVES it. and fifty-fifty ameliorate it'south cute. Its made of wooden chaplet covered in super soft textile, and a wooden teething ring. I can wear it short or long. The beads are small enough that he can grasp then in his hand and chew on them, and play with the knots. The ring fits his mitt perfectly as well. (It'due south washable with just some soap and h2o, left to air dry, after he chews and drools all over it!) And did I mention he loves it? It gives him something to safely put in his oral cavity when I'm belongings him; something other than my pilus or collarbone. The wood and fabric are soothing pressure level for his poor little gums, and it saves my hair and skin from his (superhuman) pulling and biting.

The other twenty-four hours I was pushing him in the cart around Costco, and I had my necklace on. Where he would normally have attempted to eat the cart handle (don't freak out, he was sitting in a cart cover, I'one thousand no germaphobe, simply I'm besides not crazy), instead he was holding and chewing on my necklace. Win! He was content and quiet! Win win!

These necklaces also serve another purpose past being nursing/feeding necklaces. I do not breastfeed, I bottle feed, but he still has busy easily while eating. He likes to compression, scratch and pull at whatever is inside accomplish. It ever amazes me just how strong these piffling humans can be. And so wearing the necklace when I feed him gives him something to pull and mess with, that doesn't involve hurting me. Amend for both of us.

And they are pretty besides. The one I take is the Cacti print (I am in Arizona later on all) only they have sooo many pattern choices. And the necklaces tin come up with or without the teether band. I have received then many compliments when I have it on.
